- The QuickTube application code and interface are proprietary
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party APIs and services including:
- YouTube API for transcript retrieval
- OpenAI API for AI-powered features (summaries, character detection)
- OpenRouter for alternative AI model access
- Webshare proxy services
Use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. QuickTube is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
6. API Usage and Rate Limits
When using AI-powered features, you acknowledge that:
- You must provide your own API keys for OpenAI or OpenRouter services
- You are responsible for any costs incurred through API usage
- Rate limits may apply based on third-party service policies
- QuickTube does not store or have access to your API keys beyond session use
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of transcripts or AI-generated content
- Uninterrupted or error-free service operation
- Security of data transmission
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUICKTUBE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
- Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
- Any issues related to third-party APIs or services
9. Video Downloads
The video download feature is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree that:
- You will only download videos that you have permission to access and download
- You will comply with all applicable copyright laws and YouTube's Terms of Service
- Downloaded content is for personal use and not for redistribution
- QuickTube is not responsible for how you use downloaded content
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
